The Boat

‘TRIPPIN’

The boat we use is a Centre Console 5.8 metre Surtees plate boat with a Honda 150 hp 4 stroke engine. This boat is equipped with 16” Lowrance sounders (so no fish goes undetected). We then custom built the hard top for the centre console so it would provide adequate shelter from both the sun’s rays and the weather, all in survey to handle what the lakes and rivers throw at us. It has a 150 litre fuel tank, and at a cruising speed of 25 knots. We get a range of roughly 200 nautical miles (370.4 kms), this ensures that with the best electronics and boat we can spend a day on the water finding fishing spots that produce the biggest and best catches which results not only a great days fishing but you going home with a new personal best.

TRIPPIN is the name of the boat and for good reason. Previous owner John had an amazing family dog which had huge paws and when he ran, he was always trippin over, so he named him TRIPP. Later when John bought the boat to start a fishing charter business his dog and companion TRIPP sadly fell sick and passed away. Cooper and John now let Johns dog’s legacy as an amazing companion live on in the name of the boat.
